We went shopping with Monica at Santana Row. We got the 42" plasma TV at Best Buy, some cushions and night light at Crate And Barrels, and the decorative mirrors and the artistic phone at Bombay. We had dinner with Amy Kong in Foster City.

You had to stay at Vancouver over the weekend, so I got to spend the weekend alone, something I haven't done for a long time. Vincci was in town so we visited Napa on Saturday, and she stayed at our new house as the first guest ever.

In the morning we drove to Santa Cruize to join the church's summer camp, since I have to play piano in the worship. After that we came back to catch the final of the world cup. It was a nice game, and I was really happy that Italy won, since I have been supporting them since Brazil lost. A pity that they won by penalty, not a real goal.

Jonathan and Kelvin helped us to transport 3 full size book shelves from Ikea. It was pretty amazing what an Accord can hold in its truck - 6 pieces, each 8 feet long. We then assembled those shelves at home. The first piece took 4 of us almost 2 hours, the second one 1 hour, and we got the third one in less than half an hour. Another proof that humans really do learn. For dinner we went to Santana Row to celebrate the belated birthday of Mandy, and afterwards we had cake at the new house.

We attended Any and Carmen's wedding in San Francisco. It was a very sweet wedding, and the couple sang songs they composed. After the ceremony we watched the videotaped world cup match between Brazil and France at home. That was a disappointing loss for Brazil but I have to admit the French really played well.
