We had a fitting at Bride And Joy in San Mateo. Their collection is pretty nice and reasonably priced, but dress selection and changing are self-served. You were so exhausted after trying a couple of dresses that you weren't too interested in them.

We went to Bridal Galleria in downtown San Francisco. Their collection was very pretty but pricey. We also got the chance to tour the Embarcadero Center and try the dim sum at Yank Sing. We also tried on a few gowns at Amy Kuschel. They have very nice dresses, but the style is not the kind we are looking for.

Janet and Kendrick wanted to visit their potential wedding venue, so we drove to a small town near Sacramento with them. It was a 2 hour drive and we got stuck in traffic in the middle, but nevertheless it was fun to visit rural places like that. It was a very nice mansion.

After the Sunday church service, we went to a bridal fair that was sponsored by Sing Tao Daily in South San Francisco. There was a short wedding gown show, and we talked to several picture studios. The studio used by Kien Kit and Annie - Kurty Photography - turns out to be the best of the bunch.

You didn't wake up until noon today. Kendrick and Janet realized they left their camera at the karaoke place last night, so we went back to Fremont to pick up the camera. Later that afternoon, we went to several open houses in the Fremont/Union City area. We fell in love with a new development in Union City, but the prices were pretty steep. After chilling in those model homes, we went roller-blading at Cisco's campus in Miltipas until sunset. And, to wrap up the night, we played a game of Scrabble with Kendrick and Janet before turning in.

Today was an emotional day for me because it was my last day with the SBC project. I'm definitely going to miss the people I worked with there. Actually, since I don't really know what I want to do yet, that could have been my last day in the consulting business also. Who knows?

We celebrated the beginning of my long vacation and birthdays of two other friends from church at Echo Karaoke in Fremont. Peter was amazing with songs from the 80's. Everyone had a great time, and we ended up not leaving until 3 in the morning. It's been quite some time since we last stayed out this late with friends.

We attended the summer camp of our church. It's held at the Mission Springs Christain Conference Center near Santa Cruz. We missed Friday night and Saturday morning since we were pretty sleep deprived during the week and wanted to sleep at home. We joined the Saturday lunch. In the afternoon you joined a Thai cooking session and I played music and basketball. In the night we finally got to use our telescope to watch stars. The famous chicken congee was really delicious. The camp was fun and we left after Sunday lunch.

It's the Tuesday after the July 4th weekend. It's a holiday for my company, and you took a day off to rest. We went to downtown and watched War Of The Worlds. It's greatly filmed but the storyline is pretty weak. After that we walked at the downtown and went to Tiffany's and Jessica Mckintock. The wedding gowns there was not as pretty as you thought.

We were very adventurous this Independence Day weekend and went to two major cities and two National Parks in the span of 4 days with the Arkers in a 12-people van, which really should be referred to a shuttle.

We embarked on the journey at Peter's house in Sunnyvale around 4pm on Friday and arrived at Las Vegas around 2am. Not waking up till 10-ish the next morning, we treated ourselves to a brunch buffet at the new Wynn's Hotel before driving off to Zion National Park in Utah. Famished from the hikes, we ate a JB's in a town named Hurricane and spent that night at a Days Inn in Cedar City (the Festival City). After that, we continued our journey to Bryce Canyon, which is about 2 hours from Zion, and concluded our third day with yet another buffer in Vegas - this time at Paris Hotel. On the fourth day, we stopped in LA for lunch before heading home to the much cooler Bay Area.

You had to take a friend home after you picked up your car from Google's garage, but I stayed after and watched one of the best fireworks shows I've seen in years from Google's parking lot.
